Commissioning the appliance
Electrical Connection
•
Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that
the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device.
You can find this information on the nameplate.
•
Connect the device to a duly installed protective contact
socket.
Using the appliance
•
Turn the device on. The control lamp in the switch lights up.
•
Allow the milk mixture to mature for approximately 8 hours
in the device.
•
Do not move the device during this time, as otherwise the
yoghurt will remain liquid. Protect it against vibrations!
•
In order to stop operation, turn the device off. The control
lamp goes out.
NOTE:
•
The longer the yoghurt matures, the stronger the taste
becomes.
•
One jar of the finished yoghurt can be used again as a
starting culture, but not more than approximately
20 times as the effect diminishes over time.
•
Fruits, nuts, jam or similar items should only be added
after preparation.
•
Always store the finished yoghurt in the refrigerator.
Cleaning
WARNING:
•
Always remove the plug before cleaning.
•
Under no circumstances should you immerse the device
in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might
result in an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
•
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
•
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
•
Wipe the casing with a damp cloth.
•
The cover and the jars with lid can be cleaned in soapy
water.
