Only use the sun shade with sufficient
ballasting (see Technical data).
Always place the article on a firm and
even surface.
Use a stable base for the umbrella.
The product should be set up by a
competent adult.
When opening and closing the umbrella,
make sure that your hands are not caught
by the folding mechanism.
Close the sun shade in the event of
incoming wind or a storm and secure it
with the Velcro strip. Otherwise, a gust
could take hold of it and overturn it,
which may cause damage or result in the
product being damaged.
Never start an open fire near or under the
sun shade. The shade may catch fire or
be damaged by airborne sparks.
The sun shade is not a children's
toy. Children may catch their fingers.
Furthermore, the shade is very heavy
and could injure children if it tips over.
Do not hang anything on the cross-
beams of the sun shade or even use
them for chin-ups.

The sun shade is capable of protecting
your skin from direct UV radiation, but not
from reflected UV rays. For this reason,
please also use cosmetic sunscreen.
In order to protect the sunshade from
excessive strain, close the shade in the
event of rain or snow and secure it with
a Velcro strap.
The cover is not suitable for machine
washing, dry cleaning or bleaching.
Do not use any aggressive chemical
cleaners or liquids, solutions, abrasive
substances or objects, bleaches, high-
pressure cleaners and strong cleaning
agents.
Please observe the care notes sewn in.
Intended use
The sun shade is suitable for providing
protection against direct UV radiation. It
is not conceived for providing protection
against rain or snow.
Set ting up the shade
In order to provide the sunshade with a
secure position, our sunshade socket
85999ES must be used.
1. Situate the sunshade socket as
desired and ballast it with 8 cement
slabs each with the dimensions 40 x
40 and with a weight of approx. 15 kg.
(see Figure A).
2. Allow the sunshade pole to slide
into the sunshade socket and fix it in
place, see the operating instructions
for the sunshade socket.
