NOTE: The lamp will immediately be at full intensity and will stabilize within 10 minutes. The ST700
is designed for continuous use; however operating the lamp only when required will increase the
lifespan of the UV LEDs.
MAINTENANCE
•
Check UV-A intensity at regular intervals using a calibrated UV-A Meter (320-400 nm range).
UV-A intensity readings should be taken with the lamp positioned 15 in / 38 cm from the
lamp filter to the face of the sensor. Intensity readings should be taken at a consistent
location within the beam to track performance over time.
•
Check for buildup of dust or inspection materials on LED filters. Regular cleaning will
prevent reduction of UV-A intensity.
•
Use mild soap and a damp cloth to clean the lamp housing as needed.
•
Do not spray lamp or immerse any part in liquid.
SERVICE
CAUTION
To assure product safety and reliability, repairs should be performed by Magnaflux
Authorized Service Center using original parts.
WARNING
The LED assembly is static sensitive and can be permanently damaged with
improper handling. All replacements of the LED assembly must be performed by
a Magnaflux Authorized Service Center. Unauthorized repairs will void the warranty.
LENS COVER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
To maintain the IP rating of the ST700, the Lens Cover Assembly must be replaced as a complete
assembly. Individual UV & White Light filter replacement is not possible.
1.
Disconnect the lamp from the power supply.
1.
Using a 4-mm hex key, remove the screws from the Lens Cover Assembly.
2.
Remove the Lens Cover Assembly, taking care not to damage the LED array.
3.
Inspect Lens Cover Assembly gasket for tears or damage. If damage is found, replace the gasket.
4.
Install the Lens Cover Assembly, making sure cover gasket is in place.
5.
Secure cover assembly with hex screws. It is best to start the hex screws first and then tighten
them down. This will ensure that the Lens Cover Assembly gasket is properly aligned.
NOTE: Tighten hex screws until they stop (little to no force required), then tighten an additional 1/8 turn.
