4.2 Transport using a crane
Observe the following safety instructions when transporting individual components of
the filtration device using a crane:
DANGER
Life endangering injuries when lifting and transporting the components
of the filtration device!
Improper lifting and transportation can result in tipping over and falling of
the components of the filtration device!
Individual components of the filtration device may be lifted and
transported only using suitable binding means!
● Use only binding means in technically perfect condition!
● The components of the filtration device must always be fixed to all lug
bolts or fixation points.
● Do not ever stand under suspended loads!
● Observe the regulations applicable to prevention of injuries and
occupational safety!
● Observe the instructions and regulations of the manufacturer!
● Check stable fitting of binding means on the binding points and crane
hook.
● Mount the transport ropes to the crane hook so that they could not be
in contact with machine components above the binding points in the
stretched condition.
● Potentially use a loading system.
● Modify the length of the four lifting ropes so that the components of
the filtration device could be in horizontal position. Suspend the lifting
ropes on all lug bolts, the angle β of the lifting rope with respect to the
vertical may not exceed 30° and any side loading on the lug bolts may
not be imposed. The lug bolts may not be deformed and they should
not be identified additionally with any colour (especially red) because
of a risk of confusion.
● Pay attention to sufficient load bearing capacity of each lug bolt
when selecting them!
