External air duct
The exhaust air can be transported out of the laboratory via an external air duct (see Accessories)
en
The corresponding installation instructions are included with the external air duct
When using extraction units in conjunction with an external air duct, a significant quantity of air is
extracted from the room per hour.
This can lead to vacuum pressure, which can cause poisonous gases (e.g., carbon monoxide) to
be sucked into the (working) area when using gas, liquid, or solid fuels with furnaces dependent
on ambient air.
Depending on the structural situation, an additional air supply or vacuum pressure monitor-
ing must therefore be ensured and checked where appropriate by the responsible institutions
(e.g., chimney sweep).

Operation
Before beginning to work, check that a dust bag has been inserted.
If operated without a dust bag, the intended protection against exposure to dust can no longer be
guaranteed.
5.1
Switching on
The extraction unit is switched on and off via the on / off switch (A / B)
Switching on (b), Fig 2
Afterwards, the extraction unit is in the last operating mode set
5.2
Suction Power
The suction power for the suction unit can be set in 4 levels
The current level is shown in the display (G)
Change the suction power:
Increase suction
Reduce suction
The suction always starts with the last used suction level
5.3
Select operating mode: Automatic operation / continuous operation
The extraction unit has two operating modes
The set operating mode is indicated by the displays
• Automatic mode
The suction is dependent on the electrical device connected to the appliance outlet (8, Fig 1)
• Continuous operation
Suction running continuously
⇒ Press operating mode key (D)
♦ Switch the operating mode
To start or stop the unit during permanent operation, use the operating mode key (D). Do not use
the on/off switch for this.
If the suction to a connected electrical appliance (e.g. a handpiece) does not react as required
(e.g. does not activate, even though a connected device is in operation) then the switch-on thresh-
old for automatic operation must be adjusted.
