14. Troubleshooting
The table below contains a list of fault symptoms and explains what you can do to remedy the problem if your equipment
fails to work properly. If the problem still persists after working through the list, please contact your nearest service work-
shop.

The motor doesn't start.

Possible cause
The upper housing unit is not properly
closed.
The extension cable is defective.

connection and the shredder is too long.

Remedy
Screw in the safety thoroughly
Exchange the extension cable or repair it.
Check the mains fuse.

Pull the main plug, open the housing and
clean it out.
Choose an extension cable with a larger cross
section
Create the shortest possible way between the
power system connection and the shredder.
Select a smaller quantity of shredded material.
Now and then, include dry shredding material

Resharpen or change
