Troubleshooting
Pump indications
Pump does not cycle.
Pump will not prime.
Pump cycles rapidly.
Pump cycles continuously, or slowly (once or
twice/hour).
External leaks
Product leakage visible at weep
hole in body (7).
Product leakage visible at bottom of body (7).
Air leakage at weep hole in body (7).
Product leakage at bottom of cylinder (31).
Internal leaks
Pump does not prime or cycles continuously,
or slowly (once or twice/hour).
Possible problems
Air motor not operating properly.
Pump tube jammed and/or contains loose
components.
Insufficient air pressure.
Excessive cycling speed.
Pump leaking internally.
Product source empty.
Pump leaking internally.
Pump leaking externally.
Distribution system leaking.
Damaged seal (17).
Damaged air motor piston rod.
Pump tube (31) not sufficiently tight to body (7).
Damaged gasket(s) (20).
Damaged seal (15).
Lower valve seat (33 or 35) not sufficiently tight
to cylinder (31).
Damaged o-ring (34).
Foreign material between ball (28) and upper
valve seat (30).
Foreign material between ball (32) and lower
valve seat (33 or 35).
Worn or damaged ball (28).
Worn or damaged upper valve seat (30).
Worn or damaged ball (32).
Worn or damaged lower valve seat (33 or 35).
Worn or damaged piston rod (29).

Solution
Inspect air motor and rebuild or replace as
necessary.
Rebuild pump tube.
Increase air pressure.
Reduce air pressure.

Replenish product.
See Internal leaks.
See External leaks.
Correct leak.
Separate pump tube from air motor and
replace seal (17).
Inspect piston rod and replace as necessary.
Tighten pump tube (31) to body (7)
Separate pump tube from air motor and
replace gaskets (20)
Separate pump tube from air motor and
replace seal (15).
Tighten lower valve seat (33 or 35)
to cylinder (31).
Replace o-ring (34).
Locate and eliminate source of
foreign material,
Disassemble pump tube, clean, inspect and
replace worn or damaged components.
