1. HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE FILTERING KITS
The filtering equipment consists of the sand container,
the valve, the connection kit, the pump, and the sup-
porting base for the whole assembly.
When assembling the filtering kits it is important to
follow the assembly instructions in the filter instruc-
tions manual, set out in section 3.
The steps to follow for assembling the filtering kits are:
– Attach the sand container to the base using the two
screws supplied. (Fig. 1)
– Attach the pump to the base using the four screws
supplied. (Fig. 2)
– Add the sand (see point 3.3 in the filter manual).
– Install the selecting valve and the pressure gauge.
– In order to assemble the flexible connection kit, first
connect the PUMP exit-point of the valve and then
bend the flexible tube so as to screw the connecting
thread into the exit-point of the pump.
In the case of LT models, in order to
attach the connecting device to the
valve, first dismantle the 3-piece joint
and screw it to the PUMP exit-point of
the valve. (Fig. 3)
– Make sure that the ring-seals are firmly
in position.
– Complete the other two connections, to
the pool and to the drainage outlet.
2. GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
The filtration unit is an essential device
for maintaining the quality of the water in
a swimming pool over a long period of
time, both for the convenience of bathers
and to save water consumption, since
the water does not need to be replaced.

The function of the unit is the mechanical separation
of the solid particles in the swimming pool water:
these are retained in the filtering medium.
For the installation and maintenance of the equipment
the filter manual instructions must be followed.
2.1. Pressure control:
The pressure indicated on the pressure gauge of the
filter must be checked, in order to ensure the optimum
operation of the equipment and to know whether or
not the washing process needs to be performed. The
saturation pressure for each filtering kit appears in the
following table, when the pressure gauge reaches this
pressure level the washing process must be carried
out in order to clean the filter. The use of some acces-
sories for swimming pools such as the pool bottom
cleaner could become less effective with the gradual
saturation of the filter.
