3. ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 - ASSEMBLY ANd
REPLACEMENT Of THE
CUTTING BLAdES (fIG. C)
Wear protective gloves when
replacing the cutting blades.
The blades should always be
sharpened or replaced at the
same time. Otherwise, there will be an
imbalance that will cause vibrations and
decrease the longevity of the tool.
1. Place the planer with the support
base (3) facing upwards;
2. Turn the rotating accessory (19) until
the screws (24) of the fixing bar (23)
of one of the blades are visible;
3. Unscrew the blade fixing bar screws;
4. Press the blade guard (15) and slide
the blade fixing plate out;
5. Remove the blade (25) and sharpen
it;
6. Adjust the blade position adjuster
(26) according to the wear on the
blade. This guarantees the depth of cut
defined in the technical specifications
of the planer;
7. Place the blade in the fixing bar,
matching the notch of the blade with
the fixing bar guides;
8. Fit the fixing blade in the rotating
accessory and tighten the fixing screws;
9. Turn the rotating accessory 180 °
and repeat the procedure on the other
blade;

After assembling the blades and
before using the tool in one part,
test at the maximum speed with no load
for
some
time.
Check
misalignment or any other condition
that may affect tool operation. Make
sure all moving parts move smoothly
and without abnormal noises.
3.2 - ASSEMBLY Of THE
PARALLEL GUIdE (fIG. d)
1. Insert the parallel guide (1) into the
fixing bracket (2);
2. Insert and tighten the fixing screw of
the parallel guide (13);
3. Fit the parallel guide fixing bracket
into the planer and tighten the bracket
fixing screw (4);
The parallel guide can be
mounted on both sides of the
planer;

1. Insert the depth adjustment tool (18)
into the planer;
2. Insert and tighten the fixing screw
(17) of the notch depth adjuster;
The notch depth adjuster must
be mounted on the right side of
the planer;

To keep the work surface clean, use
the dust and shavings collector bag;
1. Insert the fixing accessory (27) into
the dust and shavings outlet (16);
Never remove the collector bag
or attempt to remove any
obstruction while the blades are
rotating.
4. OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
for
any
The tool is designed to thin wood
materials (such as beams and boards),
notching or chamfering edges.
When working with planer, you should
consider some procedures:
� Always ensure that the planer is
switched off before connecting the
power cable and during transport. If
you have the "ON/OFF" switch pressed
when you connect the power cord or
when carrying the planer, accidents
and injuries may occur to the user;
� Never hold a work piece with your
hands or lean on your legs. Fix the
work piece on a stable and completely
immobilized platform;
� Hold the tool with both hands, one on
the handle and another on the cut depth
adjustment handle;
� Ensure blade protection is always in
place during the cutting operation;
� Make sure there are no obstructions
on the working surface;
� Never use the planer on metal parts
or pieces of wood with nails, screws
or other metal objects. Remove metal
objects from work piece before use of
planer;
� Do not apply too much pressure on
the planer against the work piece/
object, the weight of the planer exerts
sufficient pressure. If the velocity
decreases abruptly, the pressure must
be decreased immediately;
� Keep the planer in constant motion
during operation;
� Always use sharp blades and in good
condition. Replace worn, damaged or
warped blades immediately;
