Powering the antenna using a power supply unit
1. Connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to the set-top box or TV.
2. Connect the power supply unit to the antenna's DC input and plug the power supply unit into an electrical socket.
3. Switch on the antenna using the power switch
4. Check the signal quality. If you are not receiving good reception, change the location of the antenna or adjust the
angle of the antenna. Depending on the station, the amplifier performance must be adjusted using the dial on the
back.

Powering the antenna with the Set-Top-Box (not included)
1. Take the coaxial cable that attached on the antenna, and connect it to the antenna input connector of your Set
Top Box (or Digital TV).
2. Please make sure the antenna powering function of your Set Top Box (or Digital TV) is activated.
3. Check the signal quality. If you can not get a good signal reception, please try to put the antenna at different
position and try different angle. Depending on the station, the amplifier performance must be adjusted using the
dial on the back.
Notice
For the best reception, please check the following conditions.
1. Keep the antenna away from the sources of interference: keep the antenna away from those big power
consumption devices such as air conditioner, elevator, hair dryer and microwave oven...etc.
2. Installed as high as possible: In the case of digital terrestrial reception, if there is any interruption between
antenna and transmission tower, it will cause the signal loss. Avoid any interruption, the reception will be better.
3. Place the antenna near windows when using the antenna in indoor environment. If the screen or film of windows
is made of metal material, it will become as a signal shielding. Place the antenna away from those metal material
window screen or window film.
Trouble shooting
1. Ifyou cannot get the digital programs as you expect. Please check the following conditions:
a. Make sure the power switch on the rear panel is turned on.
b. Check the connection. Make sure all the connection is correct.
c. Check the antenna powering (coaxial cable powering) function of your STB. ANT1403 is an active antenna so
you will need to enable the antenna powering function. (Please check the
operational manual of the STB or TV.)
d. If you place the ANT1403 antenna on the TV panel, please try to move the antenna away from the TV
panel. Some panel may reduce the signal reception of the antenna.
2. Adjust the direction and position of antenna to find the best reception angle.
Safety instructions
The device is not protected against drops or splashes of water. To avoid damaging the device and to prevent
injuries due to short circuits, do not let the product come into contact with rain, moisture or other liquids. Connect
the device only to an electrical socket that has been approved for the device. The mains socket must always be
easily accessible. Never use or open a defective device. Repair work may only be conducted by an authorised
specialist. As with all electronic devices, keep the device out of the reach of children.
