If the unit fails to perform as it is supposed to, by following this operation manual, please check it carefully in accordance with the table below:
Symptom
There is.no sound.

The power cord is not connected properly.

There is multipath distortion.
The tape does not run.
¢ Deck 2 is on pause.
¢ The playback head is dirty.
¢ The DOLBY NR mode is set differently from when
the recording was done.
* A non-Dolby NR tape is being played back in that
mode.
¢ The playback head is dirty.
* Change the orientation of the antenna.
e Replace the antenna with one that has the correct
orientation.
¢ Press Il and release pause.
¢ Clean the head.
¢ Reset DOLBY NR to the same setting as when the
recording was made.

¢ The disc is incorrectly inserted.
Insert the disc with the label facing up.
¢ The disc is dirty.
¢ Clean the disc.
¢ There is condensation on the disc.
¢ The player is on pause.

To reset
¢ Wait about an hour and try again.
* Press II PAUSE to release pause.
¢ Turn off the KARAOKE VOCAL FADER.
Ifan unusual condition occurs in the display window or the cassette deck;-reset
the unit as follows.
1 Press the POWER button to turn off the power.
2 Press the POWER button while pressing the Mf button.
Everything stored in memory after purchase is canceled.
3 Press the POWER button to turn on the power.
4 Set the clock, radio presetting and timer settings as before.
If the power cannot be turned off in step 1 because of a malfunction, reset by
disconnecting the AC cord and carry out steps 2 to 4.
