Safety instructions
WARNING Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all warnings and instructions for reference to your mains powered power tool in
the warnings refer to your mains powered power tool.
Work area safety
Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas are accident prone.
-
Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, for example in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or
-
dusts. Electric tools create sparks that can ignite dust or vapours.
Keep children and bystanders away when using a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
-
Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the socket. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with
-
earthed power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased
-
risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain OR moisture. Water entering a power tool increases the risk of electric shock.
-
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry, pull or unplug the power tool. Keep the cord away from heat,
-
oil, sharp an tes or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When using a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using a cord suitable for
-
outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
if using a power tool in a damp environment is unavoidable, use a power supply protected by a residual current
-
device (RCD). Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
NOTE: the term 'residual current device (RCD)' may be replaced by 'ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)' or
'earth leakage circuit interrupter (ELCB)'
