Epilation (A)
Tips for beginners
• If you have not used an epilator before, it may take
some time for your skin to adapt to epilation. In
the beginning, epilate on a weekly basis to help
reduce the discomfort.
• For best comfort, use the massage roller cap (1a).
• First time users should epilate in the evening so
that reddening can disappear overnight. To relax
the skin, we recommend applying a moisturizing
cream after epilation.
• Epilation is easier and more comfortable when the
hair is between 0.5 – 3 mm long. If hairs are longer,
we recommend that you shorten them.
• Exfoliation avoids ingrown hairs and provides opti-
mum conditions for epilation.
How to epilate
Make sure the epilation head (2) is clean. Depend-
ing on model, attach one of the caps:
Massage roller cap (1a): for best comfort
Skin contact cap (1b):
Dry usage: Your skin must be dry and free from
grease or cream.
Wet usage: Make sure your skin is well wetted to
achieve optimum gliding conditions.
Always stretch your skin while epilating. Guide the
appliance in a slow, continuous movement without
pressure against the hair growth in the direction of
the light.
Legs:
When epilating behind the knee, keep the leg
stretched out straight.
Sensitive areas:
First thoroughly clean and carefully dry sensitive
areas to remove residues (like deodorant). When
epilating the underarm, keep your arm raised up so
that the skin is stretched and guide the appliance in
different directions. As skin may be more sensitive
after epilation, avoid using irritating substances
such as deodorants with alcohol.
Cleaning the epilation head
After use, turn off the appliance and clean the epila-
tion head:

for increased efficiency
Remove the cap (1a/b). Brush out the tweezers
while turning the tweezer element manually. Press
the release button (7) to take off the epilation head.
Gently tap it to remove hairs from the inside.
If a thorough clean is needed, you may hold the
appliance with the epilation head under hot running
water. Then take off the epilation head and shake off
remaining water. Make sure it is dry before reat-
taching.
General information on epilation
All methods of hair removal from the root can lead to
irritation (e.g. itching, discomfort and reddening of
the skin) depending on the condition of the skin and
hair. This is a normal reaction and should quickly
disappear, but may be stronger when you are
re moving hair at the root for the first few times or if
you have sensitive skin.
In general, skin reactions and the sensation of pain
tend to diminish considerably with repeated use.
If, after 36 hours, the skin still shows irritation, we
recommend that you contact your physician.
To minimize the risk of infection or inflammation due
to bacteria penetrating the skin when it comes to
micro-injuries, thoroughly clean the epilation head
and your skin before each use.
If you have any doubts about using this appliance,
please consult your physician. In the following
cases, this appliance should only be used after prior
consultation with a physician: eczema, wounds,
inflamed skin reactions such as folliculitis (purulent
hair follicles) and varicose veins around moles,
reduced immunity of the skin, e.g. diabetes melli-
tus, during pregnancy, Raynaud's disease, haemo-
philia, candida or immune deficiency.
Body treatment (B)
The exfoliation brush (11) helps avoid ingrown hair
by removing dead skin cells. It also improves epilat-
ing results when used 1-2 days before epilation.
The massage pad (10) helps improve the skin
appearance.
You may use the exfoliation brush/massage pad on
a weekly basis on wet skin during your shower rou-
tine with body scrub or shower gel.
The massage pad may even be used more fre-
quently with body lotion or massage oil.
When using the appliance in a bathtub, do not
immerse it fully in water since this will not provide
optimum results.
How to use
Attach the brush adapter (12) provided with brush
(11) or pad (10). Slowly guide the appliance in a cir-
cular motion over your skin to gently refine it. Avoid
holding it on the same skin area for prolonged time.
Do not use it on your face.
