Problem
The appliance

Power plug not plugged in
Timer not switched on
Quantity of ingredients too
high
Temperature is too low
Cooking time too short
Food was not shaken half-
way through the cooking
time
Some foods are intended for
frying in conventional deep
fryers
Greasy ingredients
Grease residues in the frying
container
Remedy
Check whether the power
plug is properly plugged
in.
Select the required
cooking time with the
timer
Check the quantity of
ingredients and put a
smaller quantity in the fry
basket
Select a higher
temperature
Select a longer cooking
time
Food such as chips must
be shaken once half-
way through frying to
achieve even browning.
Home-made chips must
be rinsed and dried thor-
oughly before frying to
remove excess starch.
Coat the food with a little
oil
With extremely greasy
foods, grease drips into
the frying container so
that white smoke occurs.
This is normal.
Thoroughly clean the
frying container.
