Safety precautions
CAUTION! Failure to observe the following basic safety pre-
cautions may result in serious personal injury or material damage
due to fire or explosion.
Installation and assembly
CAUTION! Before you start, read the user manual and the instal-
lation instructions carefully.
WARNING! Never use the barbecue if there is any visible damage.
Never make any technical modifications to the barbecue. Only use
original spare parts from LANDMANN.
DANGER! Never install this barbecue in an integrated or slide-in
construction. This barbecue is not suitable for installation in caravans
or boats.
Operation and use
WARNING! Use the barbecue exclusively for the intended pur-
pose.
DANGER! Only use the barbecue outdoors in a well ventilated
spot and above ground level (i.e. not in areas below ground level).
Do not use the barbecue in garages, buildings, covered passageways,
tents, awnings and other closed areas or combustible structures.
DANGER! Fire or smouldering fire if flammable materials or sub-
stances are near the barbecue. Choose an area for installation where
no flammable materials or substances are, or will be, in close proximi-
ty to the barbecue. Minimum distance to flammable materials or sub-
stances: 2 m overhead and 1 m to the side. Distance to flame-resistant
materials, e.g. house walls: at least 0.6 m.
CAUTION! Accessible parts can become very hot. Keep children
away. Wear barbecue mittens while using the barbecue (approved as
per EN 407).
WARNING! The barbecue must stand level during operation and
must not be moved.
WARNING! Never leave the barbecue unattended when in use.
Take particular care to ensure that children and individuals with phys-
ical or mental disabilities are kept away from the barbecue. They may
not be able to identify the dangers correctly.
DANGER! Gas is highly flammable. When connecting the gas cyl-
inder make sure that there are no sources of ignition within a 5 m
radius. Protect the gas cylinder and the gas hose from direct sunlight
and other sources of heat (max. 50 °C). Take particular care to ensure
that the gas hose does not touch any part of the hot barbecue.
DANGER! Before each use check to ensure that all of the connec-
tions through which gas is supplied are sealed and intact. The barbe-
cue must not be used if the connections for the gas supply are porous
or faulty. This also applies, for example, to hoses or fittings that are
blocked with insects, as this can result in a dangerous flashback.
DANGER! When igniting the gas flame, do not bend over the
barbecue surface as deflagration can occur if gas has accumulated in
the combustion chamber.
CAUTION! Clean the grease tray, grill grate and grill plates regu-
larly to avoid deposits that could lead to a grease fire.
WARNING! Do not close any openings on the sides or on the back
of the unit.
Storage and/or non-use
WARNING! Close the valve on the gas cylinder immediately when
you finish using the barbecue.
WARNING! If the barbecue is not going to be used for a prolonged
period, cut off the supply from the gas cylinder and store properly.
• Fit the gas cylinder valve with a cap nut and safety cap.
• Gas cylinders must be kept outdoors and out of the reach of chil-
dren.
• Gas cylinders must not be stored below ground level, in garages, in
stairwells, corridors or other closed rooms.
