1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to
install the cutting deck on page 29 .
2. Look at the blades to see if they are damaged and if
it is necessary to sharpen them.
To replace the blades
1. Lock the blades with a wooden block.

2. Remove the bolt (A), the washer (B), and the blade
(C).
3. Install a new left blade on the left side and a
new right blade on the right side. The left blade is
identified with "Left" and the right blade is identified
with "Right".
CAUTION:

4. Make sure that the bent ends on the blades point in
the direction of the cutting deck.
5. Torque the bolts to 80 Nm.
To replace the cutting deck belt
1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to
install the cutting deck on page 29 .
2. Remove the dirt and grass around the bearing
housings, blade pulleys and from the top surface of
the cutting deck.
3. Remove the bolt (A), the washer (B) and the idler
pulley (C).

4. Remove the cutting deck belt (D) from the blade
pulleys on the cutting deck.
5. Install a new cutting deck belt in the opposite
sequence.
a) Make sure that the cutting deck belt is in the
correct position in all belt pulleys.
CAUTION:
cutting deck belt is not twisted. Refer
to the belt routing decal on the cutting
deck.

The anti-scalp wheels keep the cutting deck in the
correct position on the ground and prevent lawn scalping
