ginal replacements.
To perform the operations of the maintenance, unhook
the back of the softener and remove the cover (fig.6).
Rotate towards the left side at the base of the valve
(fig.6, A) till the reference coincides line (fig.6, B)
Extract the cylinder (fig 6, C) and proceed for cleaning/
maintenance of the aircheck
For the anti-overflow device, unhook as indicated in figu-
re 6, D and perform the maintenance.
At the end of the operations of cleaning/maintenance, re-
composing the water softener by following the procedure
correctly of the instruction backward.
10.1 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
For the equipment to work in optimal conditions, we suggest
performing the following operations periodically:
- Clean the brine with warm water and remove any sediment
from the suction pipe (fig. 1, D) every six months.
For external cleaning use a damp cloth and warm water.
Do not use detergents or other chemical substances.
- Check and clean the injector (fig. 12 A-B, B), its filter (fig.
12 A-B, C) and the electrodes of the disinfection (fig. 12 A,
D) at least once a year, following the instructions reported
below:
1. Close the water inlet and outlet taps (fig. 3, B, D)
2. Simultaneously press the
read "RESIN RINSE" on the display
3. Wait 30 seconds then disconnect the transformer connec-
tor from the timer (fig.10, A)
4. Unscrew the caps (fig. 12 A-B, A) and remove the ejector
(fig. 12 A-B, B), the filter (fig. 12 A-B, C) and the electrode
holder.
5. Clean the components with water and make sure the hole
in the ejector is not blocked (fig. 12 A-B, B).
6. Put the parts back in their place carefully.
7. Take out the two electrodes, (fig. 12 A, D) inspect and
clean them by using a wet cloth; in case of clear wear and
tear signs, replace them.
8. Put them back in the right position.
9. Open again the water inlet and outlet taps.
10. Reconnect the transformer connector to the timer (fig. 10,
A) and let the resin rinse cycle end (around 5 minutes).
10.2 RESIN PRESERVATION AND ACTIVATION AFTER
A LONG PERIOD OF INACTIVITY
If the water softener is not to be used for more than 30 days,
it is necessary to do a double regeneration first.
Inactivity of the device for more than 12 months is not advi-
sable, and switching on the system after such a long period
of non-use is not authorized.
If the period of inactivity is shorter than 12 months, it is ne-
cessary to perform a resin rinse (see paragraph 7.4) and a
manual regeneration (see paragraph 7.1) before reactivating
the equipment.
10.3 DISCONNECTING THE EQUIPMENT
1. Close the inlet and outlet water taps (fig. 3,B-D)
2. Simultaneously press the
"RESIN RINSE" on the display.
3. Wait 30 seconds then disconnect the transformer connec-
tor from the timer (fig. 10, A)
4. To disconnect the inlet, outlet and drain pipe, press on the
black ring that surrounds the pipe next to the insertion, and
extract the pipe. (fig. 5)
5. Use the double joint to insert the taps (fig. 11,1)

supply the machine of your choice with unsoftened water.
7. Open the inlet and outlet taps (fig. 11, D).
10.4 CHANGING THE RESINS
The resins' softening capacity ends after 5-7 years. This pe-
riod can change based on the characteristic of the feed water
and the quantity of softened water. After this period of time,
the user needs to decide if it is enough to change the resins or
if it is better to change the water softener itself.
To change the resins it is necessary to disconnect the wa-
ter softener as described in the previous paragraph (see
par.10.3).
Bring the tank to an authorized place to change the resins and
clean the interior of the tank. Unscrew the valve from the tank,
being careful not to lose the o-ring of the valve.
Do not dispose resins in household drains. The resins are
not biodegradable and must be considered a non-hazardous
waste (code CER 190905).
After changing the resins, check and clean the valve seal from
any resin residue. Change the o-ring if necessary.
Insert the o-ring back in its place and tighten the valve to the
tank.
Re-connect the water softener and rinse the resins (see pa-
ragraph 7.4).
Check that there are no leaks.
11) MAINTENANCE FOR THE USER
Maintenance for the user only consists in refilling the brine
periodically with sodium chloride (NaCl, common salt) (fig.
14). If salt is lacking, the water softener will not be able to
soften the water.
ATTENTION! Use refined salt for cooking, even in tablets,
suitable for water softeners.
Keep the brine tank cap closed, to avoid that dust or small
animals, insects or other substances may fall inside and
compromise the equipment and the water.
The user is responsible for refilling the brine tank with
salt, so we suggest checking the salt levels in the container
periodically. Use a container to insert salt, to avoid propping
the salt package on the brine tank.
12) IMPROPER USE OF THE EQUIPMENT
This equipment has been created to soften drinking water for
domestic and technological use. The equipment must not be
used for any other purpose and it must not be modified or
tampered with in any way.
Any other use than the one specified in this manual is impro-
per and therefore dangerous.
The manufacturer cannot be considered responsible for any
damage caused by improper, mistaken or illogical use of the
equipment.
• It is forbidden to feed the equipment with any liquid other
than drinking water.
• It is forbidden to put any products other than cooking salt
(NaCl) and water in the salt container.
13) EQUIPMENT DISPOSAL
Any waste must be disposed of according to the applicable
norms.
The water softener was built with non-hazardous materials
like polymers and stainless steel, and they must be disposed
of according to the applicable norms.
Do not dispose resins in household drains.
The resins are not biodegradable. They are classified as
non-hazardous waste, and must be disposed of accordingly
(code CER 190905).
