Personnel qualification
The operator may only monitor the LEDs, carry out visual checks and clean the housing of the device. All other work
may only be carried out by a qualified electrician, see the comprehensive manual under
de/downloads
Qualifications that the electrician must have:
ž
Education concerning the installation and start-up of electrical units and plants.
ž
Training in the handling of hazards and risks during the installation and operation of electrical units and plants.
ž
Knowledge on the function and operation of a bidirectional feed-in inverter
ž
Knowledge of the modbus specifications
ž
Knowledge of the SunSpec modbus specifications
ž
Knowledge of applicable standards and directives.
ž
Knowledge and adherence to this document with all safety notices.
2.5
Residual risks
Lethal voltages are still present in the connections and cables of the device even after the
device has been switched off and disconnected!
If the load on the DC side is disconnected (e.g. by shutting down the battery), the device does not shut down. DC volt-
age is still present at the connections. Severe injuries or death may occur if the cables and/or terminals/busbars in the
device are touched.
ž
Observe all safety regulations and current technical connection specifications of the responsible power supply
company.
ž
The device is only permitted to be opened and serviced by a qualified electrician.
ž
Switch off the grid voltage by turning off the external circuit breakers.
ž
Check that all AC and DC cables are completely free of current using a clip-on ammeter.
ž
Do not touch the cables and/or terminals/busbars when switching the device on and off.
ž
An AC and DC-side disconnecter unit must be provided during the final installation stage.
ž
Keep the device closed when in operation.
Dangerous voltage due to two operating voltages
Severe injuries or death may occur if the cables and/or terminals/busbars in the device are touched. The discharge
time of the capacitors is up to 5 minutes.
ž
Only appropriately qualified electricians authorized by the mains supply network operator are permitted to open
and maintain the device.
ž
Observe warnings on the device housing warning label.
ž
Before opening the device: Disconnect the AC and DC side and wait at least 5 minutes.
Risk of fire due to chemical corrosion!
The aluminum may be destroyed by the copper busbars in the presence of electrolytes (e.g. condensate).
ž
Cable lugs must be suitable for the conductor material and copper busbars used.
ž
When using aluminum cable lugs, use cable lugs with galvanic tin-plating or AL/CU cable lugs as well as suitable AL/
CU washers.
Risk of burns due to hot housing components!
Housing components could heat up during operation.
ž
During operation, only touch the housing cover on the device.
Damage to the device from electrostatic discharge
Components inside the unit can be damaged beyond repair by static discharge.
ž
Observe the ESD protective measures.
ž
Before touching a component, ground it by touching an earthed object.
