Bench test and
operation
WARNING

Do not exceed lowest pressure rating of
any component in system.
Ensure all components are in
operable condition. Replace any suspect
parts prior to operation.
Disconnect air to motor immediately if
leakage occurs anywhere within system.
Failure to comply may result in
personal injury.
Initial prime
1 Place pump in material to be dispensed.
2 Connect a product hose to pump
material outlet and direct hose into
appropriate collection container.
3 Screw connector (2) (with thread
sealant) into inlet of air motor assembly
and tighten securely.
4 Install air coupler (3) onto air supply line.
5 Make sure air pressure at regulator
reads zero.
6 Connect air coupler (3) assembly
to connector (2).
7 Slowly supply air pressure to pump's
motor.
8 Allow pump to cycle slowly until material
is free of air.
If the pump assembly does not prime, refer
to the Troubleshooting chart, page 14
for details.
Starting pressure
9 Set air pressure to 20 psi (1.4 bars).
10 Insert adjustment bar (6) into hole of
packing nut (9).
11 Adjust packing nut (9) until pump stops.
12 Loosen packing nut until pump begins to
cycle.
Leakage and stall
With air pressure at zero:
13 Attach control valve to outlet hose of
pump, making sure nozzle on control
valve is open.
14 Slowly supply air pressure to motor.
WARNING

Do not operate motor if leakage is
present. Disconnect air to motor
immediately if leakage occurs anywhere
within system.
Failure to comply may result in
personal injury.
15 Allow pump to cycle slowly until material
is once again free of air.
16 Set air pressure to normal operating
pressure.
17 Operate control valve into container.
18 Shut off control valve and inspect pump
for external leaks.
NOTE
Pump should not cycle more than once
or twice in one hour.
If pump leaks or does not stall, refer to
Troubleshooting chart, page 14 for details.
19 Install cover (4) onto outlet body.
20 Check motor for air leakage.
If motor leaks, refer to air motor service
guide for details.
