Changing the battery
The ixalo cylinder signals a discharged battery by a 10 s delayed release and fast beeps for 10 s (alarm
level 1). The battery must be replaced. If the battery is not changed in time, then the cylinder switches
to alarm level 2, the cylinder beeps for 20 s and release does not take place. One-time access with an
authorised transponder is possible in conjunction with ixalo programming device (5971).
Always replace both batteries at the same time in an ixalo cylinder with electronics on both sides (5918).
All installation and maintenance work should be done at open door, to avoid occasional locking
of the door!
When working with electronic components take care for appropriate earthing to protect compo-
nents from electronic discharging. Do not touch any electronic components!
There is a risk of explosion if the battery inserted incorrectly. Always use batteries of the same
or an equivalent type!
