• Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass
them on when giving the device to a third person.
• This unit is suitable for indoor and outdoor use
when batteries are applied. In connection with a
power supply this device is only suitable for in-
door use.
• When using a ground spike please make sure that
the device is positioned in such a way that it does
not become a hazard.
• Never hold the device directly to your ear. Hu-
mans cannot hear the ultrasonic frequencies, but
they are being emitted with a high volume, which
might be harmful to your ear over a longer period
of time.

5. Getting Started
The Gardigo Animal Repellent can be used in combi-
nation with batteries or with an external power sup-
ply. The batteries are already mounted in the device.
If the batteries need to be changed, please follow
the instructions:
Inserting batteries (not included):
1. You will need three Mignon (AA) batteries or re-
chargeable batteries.
2. Open the battery compartment at the back of the
device by unscrewing the four screws with a screw
driver.
3. When inserting the batteries make sure that the
polarity is correct and as shown in the battery
compartment. (The negative end the battery is
always connected to the spring in the battery
compartment)
4. Close the battery compartment again by moun-
ting the four screws. Make sure that the rubber
seal is still in place and has not fallen out.
5. The device is now ready for use.
Note! When using rechargeable batteries,
please use Ni-MH batteries (AA) with a
capacity up to 1900 mAH. The batteries
cannot be charged in the device!
Power supply (not included):
• The connector for the power supply is next to the
ON/OFF switch.
• Please only use a USB power supply with 5 V DC.
Use the USB/power supply plug adapter if neces-
sary.
• When using a power supply the device may only
be used indoors.
Mounting:
Ground Spike: Join the two components of the
ground spike and then put it into the socket at the
bottom of the device.
The device can now be mounted on the lawn or in
the flower beds.
Wall mount:
1. At the back of the device you will find a hole for
wall mounting.
2. Use this hole for mounting the device on to a nail,
screw or a small hook.
Operation:
• At the bottom of the device you will find a four
way switch.
• Three different working modes can be selected.
• The individual modes have a strong influence on
the lifespan of the batteries.
• A light sensor disables the flashlight during the
day. When dusk arrives the flash is activated. This
prolongs the lifespan of the batteries considerably.
• The flash is added automatically to the emitted
ultrasonic sound as soon as it becomes dark and
the modes 1-3 are selected.
Working modes:
• P os. 0: OFF
• P os. 1: 4 x flash, Ultrasonic 20 seconds ON/ 50
seconds OFF
• P os. 2: 4 x flash, Ultrasonic 20 seconds ON/ 120
seconds OFF
• P os. 3: 4 x flash, Ultrasonic 20 seconds ON/ 300
seconds OFF
Note: Continuous flashing of the LED is an indicator
that the batteries are low on power and need to be
changed.
