5.1 Emptying the dust container

Maintenance
Empty the dust container regularly, prefer-
ably after each vacuuming session.
ATTENTION:
Switch off the appliance before emptying
the dust container. Otherwise, the vacuum
cleaner can become damaged.
1. Press the release button (Fig. 7/A/1) and
remove the dust container forwards out of
the appliance (Fig. 7/B).
2. Hold the dust container low over a dustbin
with the permanent filter inserted.
3. Only then should you remove the perma-
nent filter from the dust container. Dispose
of the contents of the dust container in a
dustbin (Fig. 8).
NOTE:
You can dispose of the contents of the dust
container with the normal domestic waste
as long as it does not contain any elements
not permitted for domestic waste.
4. If the dust container is extremely dirty,
clean it thoroughly by rinsing it with warm
water (max. 40 °C).
ATTENTION:
The dust container is not suitable for the
dishwasher. Never clean the container with
any cleaning agent, scouring agent or alco-
hol as these damage the dust container.
5. Take this opportunity to clean the perma-
nent filter as well
permanent filter'.
6. Reinsert the dust container together with
the permanent filter (Fig. 7/B). It clicks au-
dibly into place.

5.2 Cleaning the permanent filter
The permanent filter can get dirty during
prolonged use. It is therefore important that
you clean the permanent filter regularly.
If you determine that a filter insert is dam-
aged, replace it immediately
ATTENTION:
Switch off the appliance before cleaning/
removing the permanent filter. Otherwise,
the vacuum cleaner can become damaged.
1. Empty the dust container, open and re-
move it

2. Separate the protective motor filter from
the filter screen over a dustbin.
3. For a rough clean, knock both filter ele-
ments lightly.
4. For a thorough clean, rinse both filter ele-
ments with warm water (max. 40 °C).
Then leave the filter elements to dry.
ATTENTION:
The filter elements are not suitable for the
dishwasher. Do not use either brushes or
pointed or hard objects as cleaning imple-
ments. Reinsert the filter into the vacuum
cleaner only when it is completely dry. Oth-
erwise the filter/appliance will be damaged.
5. Put the filter elements for the permanent
filter together again and correctly reinsert
the permanent filter into the dust container
(Fig. 9).
5.3 Cleaning the appliance
Only clean the housing with a slightly
damp cloth.
ATTENTION:
Never clean the dust container or permanent
filter with any cleaning agent, scouring agent
or alcohol as these damage the housing.
