1.9 Operating conditions
For correct use, comply with the following operating conditions:
• Liquid/Ambient temperature: 0 ÷ 40°C
• pH value: 6 ÷ 14
• Duty service:
Single-phase models:
Three-phases models: S1 - fully sumberged pump (Fig. 1)
• Starts per hour mode: maximum 20 for motor with rated power P2 up to 10 kW, 15 for P2 over 10 kW
1.10 Special conditions
The electropump can operate in continuous duty service (S1) only when it is completely submerged. In dry applications, the
equipment must only be powered in intermittent periodic service (S3).
At least two level sensors (in redundancy) must be used to shutdown the power supply when the liquid to be pumped is below the mini-
mum level:
S1: fully sumberged pump (Fig. 1)
S3: fully submerged pump body or filled pump body (Fig. 2A, 2B, 2C)
CAUTION
A check should always be performed to ensure that the electric pump operates correctly with the minimum liquid level.
Depending on the specific installation, additional measures may be necessary to avoid that turbulence can cause inflow of air in the
suction (see point 3.3).
