2.4
Levelling the appliance
If the support surface is slightly uneven, level the unit with the
front feet.
3 Putting into operation
Clean the appliance and the interior parts thoroughly before putting into operation
(see chapter "Service and Maintenance").
Set the temperature according to the ambient temperature at the installation
location if the equipment is changed or if the appliance door is opened and closed
frequently.
With very high summer temperatures, set the temperature regulator to a higher
level to maintain the desired cooling temperature.
For optimum energy consumption, leave the glass shelves/drawers in the
appliance as shown (see Fig. "storage of food").
3.1
Switch appliance ON/OFF
1. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
 When the appliance door is opened, the interior light comes on.
2. To switch on the appliance, turn the temperature regulator from "0" to the right to
the desired cooling temperature. The temperature regulator is located on the
right-hand side in the refrigerating compartment.
3. To switch off the appliance, turn the temperature regulator to position "0".
ATTENTION
APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
Do not switch on the appliance immediately after a power interruption. Possible overload
of the compressor or fuse blows.
Setting the temperature
The temperature depends on certain factors, such as the place of
installation, how often the appliance door is opened and closed or
how the appliance is loaded.
1. Adjust the internal temperature of the appliance with the
rotary knob.
2. When switching on for the first time, turn the temperature
regulator to the highest setting.
The appliance reaches its normal working temperature after approx. 2 hours and
is then ready for operation.
3. Turn the temperature regulator back to a medium setting.
Set the temperature so that the appliance does not constantly cool down – without a
defrost phase. The temperature in the refrigerator drops (to below 0°C) and drinks and
fresh food freeze. The icing of the rear wall causes the energy consumption to rise very
sharply and the appliance efficiency drops.
