4.2 Cleaning/replacing the appliance door seal

Checking the appliance door seal
1. Clamp a sufficiently long strip of paper 50 mm wide and
0.08 mm thick at various points on the appliance.
 If the paper can be pulled through with a slight resistance,
the appliance door seal is tight. (The thickness test of the
paper used is carried out according to ISO 534)
or
2. Place a torch on a glass shelf in the appliance, direct the light
towards the appliance door seal and close the door. If no direct
light shines through, the appliance door seal is tight.
If direct light shines through the closed door, the seal is not tight.

Replacing the appliance door seal
1. Remove food from the appliance.
2. Pull the appliance door seals out of the appliance.
3. Clean the appliance door as usual.
4. Insert the new appliance door seal in the gaps. Die neue Dichtung zuerst in alle

5. If the seal is not evenly applied everywhere: carefully heat the relevant areas with
a hairdryer and pull out a little with your fingers.
