INSTALLATION MANUAL
8. AIR PURGUE
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
ATTENTION
• Use a vacuum pump with a gauge reading less than -0.1 MPa and an air discharge capacity greater than 40 L/min.
• The outdoor unit does not need a vacuum pump. DO NOT open the gas and liquid shut-off valve of the outdoor unit.
• Make sure the vacuum gauge reading is -0.1 MPa or less after 2 hours. If after three hours of operation, the
gauge reading is still above -0.1 MPa, check whether there is a gas or water leak inside the pipe. If there
are no leaks, perform another extraction for 1 or 2 hours.
• DO NOT use refrigerant gas for system extraction.
REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS
Before using manifold pressure gauges and a vacuum pump, read their operating manuals to make sure you
know how to use them correctly.
