2.3 Connecting the Remote Keypad to
the Drive
ATTENTION: Attaching earth ground to the
drive control common terminal is
!
recommended to improve noise immunity. In
addition, the control common terminal must be
grounded if the Remote Keypad is to be
connected or disconnected with the drive under
power. Failure to observe this precaution could
result in severe bodily injury or loss of life.
Use the following procedure to connect the Remote Keypad
to the drive.
Step 1. Connect one end of the cable to the circular
mini-DIN connector on the top of the keypad. See
figure 2.3.
Step 1. Route the cable to the drive and connect the cable
to the circular mini-DIN connector on the front of the
drive.
Step 1. If needed, use cable wraps to secure the cable in
order to provide a safe path to the drive.
