INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLER
Carefully read the instructions indicated in this
document as they supply important indications
dealing with installation, use and maintenance
safety.
− The set must be used only for the purpose it was
designed for.
− It has been designed as to comply with the
effective security rules .
The builder is not responsible for possible damage
due to improper, wrong and unreasonable uses.
− The manufacture of the set must comply with the
effective security rules in force.
All the system sets must be used only for that they
have been devised.
− After unpacking, verify any possible damage.
The packing (i.e. plastic bags, foam polystyrene,
etc.) must be kept away from children because it
is potentially dangerous.
− Before connecting the set install an appropriate
separation and protection switch.
− Before connecting the set verify that the data
label correspond to the mains ones.
− Do not obstruct the openings or fessures for
ventilation or heat elimination.
− Before any cleaning or maintenance operation,
disconnect the set by means of the system switch.
− In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the set
disconnect it by means of the general switch and
do not damage it.
− To repair the set contact Urmet Domus after
sales-services.
− If the above mentioned prescriptions are not
followed, the set safety can be compromised.
− Do not install the cameras in areas exposed to
rain or damp. In this case use the specific
containers.
− Provide suitable ventilation. Do not embed
appliances in niches of a size less than twice that
of the appliances.
− In case of infiltration of liquids or objects inside
the set, take care of giving it to the skilled personnel
for checking or repair.
− When rapairing use only the spare parts supplied
by the firm.
− This document must always goes together with
the set.

− The symbol representing a lighting with an arrow
inside an equilateral triangle indicates the
presence of dangerous voltage.
Do not open the set.
− The symbol representing an exclamation mark
inside an equilateral triangle indicates
components which are critical for safety.
Use therefore only components supplied by the
firm.
DESCRIPTION
Urmet Domus video house phone system Mod. 956
allows single and two-user video systems without
coax cable and with a reduced number of wires: 4
common wires + 1 calling wire for each monitor.
The 4" monitor with flat screen does not need any
embedding and, as for Urmet Domus traditional
video house phone system, the image appears only
on the called monitor.
The conversation between the outdoor station and
the monitor can take place even if the indoor set has
not been called.
The call is electronic bitonal type; the TV camera
unit uses a CCD TV camera; the subject is lighted
by means of infrared Leds.
The monitor is equipped with a door-release key
and 2 additional keys that can be used for any
service or as self-insertion key: in this case the
system needs an additional wire in conduit.

OPERATION
By pressing a button of the push button panel the
call is sent to the monitor on which the image
appears after 4" about.
By unhooking the handset, the conversation with
the video outdoor station can take place.
Monitor lighting is timed (one minute about). Every
new call cancels the previous one with timer reset.
