Cleaning
Be sure to disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
1.
Clean the oven cavity after use with a slightly damp cloth.
2.
Clean the accessories in the usual way in soapy water.
3.
The door frame, seal and surrounding areas should be carefully cleaned with a damp
cloth if they are dirty.
4.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass, as this may
scratch the surface and damage the glass.
5.
Cleaning tips - To easily clean the inside walls that cooked food may have touched: Put
half a lemon in a bowl, add 300 ml of water and heat in the microwave for 10 minutes on
full power. Wipe the oven with a soft, dry cloth.
Precautions to take with utensils
Risk of personal injury
It is dangerous for any unauthorised person to carry out maintenance or repair work that
involves removing a microwave protective cover.
Refer to the instructions on 'Materials you can use or should avoid in your microwave oven'.
Some non-metallic utensils are not recommended for use in a microwave oven. If in doubt,
you can test the relevant utensil by following the procedure below.
Utensil test:
1.
Fill a microwave-safe container with a glass of water (250 ml) and place the utensil in it.
2.
Cook on high power for one minute.
3.
Carefully touch the utensil. If the empty utensil is hot, do not use it in the microwave.
4.
Do not exceed one minute of cooking time.
