Rust
• For areas that do not come into contact with food, treat the
rust with an anti-rust agent, then paint the barbecue with heat
resistant paint or a barbecue-specific paint.
• Use a chrome cleaner on any rust found on the chrome parts.
To prevent rust, coat the chrome parts with a thin layer of oil,
such as vegetable oil or WD40.
Storage
• Do not leave the barbecue outdoors uncovered or in a humid
environment.
• We strongly recommend purchasing a cover from your local
retailer to protect the barbecue, should it be left outside for
any length of time. This will significantly increase the product's
service life.
• If you decide to cover over your barbecue, regularly inspect both
the cover and the barbecue to check that they are not damp or
affected by mould. Should they be damp or mouldy, wash them
with hot soapy water and allow them to dry.
• Make sure that the barbecue has been fully cleaned before
covering or storing it away.
• Remove any ash or debris with a dustpan and brush.
• Scrape off any hardened grease or residue with a plastic or wooden
scraper.
• Wash with a sponge or soft cloth, and if necessary, use washing-up
liquid.
• Rinse with clean water and dry well.
NOTE: Clean it on a regular basis. Excessive grease build-up can
lead to a fire. This could seriously damage the barbecue and is not
covered by the guarantee.
• Clean them with hot soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or
nylon bristle brush.
• Rinse with clean water or wipe with a damp cloth before drying
thoroughly.
