3. Insert the new CR2032 battery with the
positive terminal facing upwards and the
minus terminal facing downwards by
sliding the battery underneath the metal
hook and pressing down until it clicks
into place (see figure M).
Caution! If incorrectly fitted, the battery
compartment and even the device may
become damaged.
4. Push the battery compartment lid 9 back
onto the device until it audibly clicks into
place.

6.3 Storage
We recommend that you retain the
packaging of the thermometer so that the
device can be packaged securely for
transport.
If the device is not to be used for an
extended period, we recommend switching
off the device (see "5.12 Switching off the
device" on page 44).
Only operate and store the device in
accordance with the conditions specified.
(see "8. Technical data" on page 48).
