After inserting the battery press the cover down again and slide it back to its original position against
the arrow direction.
Operation
1. Look through the eyepiece (Fig. 1.1) and point at an object approximately 50 meters away. Keep
turning the eyepiece setting ring (Fig. 1, 7) until the object looked at is in sharp focus.
2. Depress the function button (Fig. 1, 5) for about 3 seconds to turn the device on. When you now
look into the eyepiece (Fig. 1.1) the function symbols appear in the lens coverage (Fig. 2). Then aim
the central circle (Fig. 2, 1) at the object.
3. To measure distance press the function button (Fig. 1. 5) briefly. The distance of the object will be
shown at the top of the function display.
4. When turning on the device the measurement unit last used (M or Y) (Fig. 2, 2/3) applies. This can
be changed by pressing the Mode button and holding it down after turning the rangefinder on. The
measurement unit in the display will then alter.
5. The power would be switched off automatically after approx. 15 seconds if the distance-measuring
instrument is not used.
Note: Distance measuring with the Rangefinder is affected by the characteristics of the object (color,
surface finish, size and shape), the angle of the emitted laser beam to the target and the lighting
conditions (e.g. the visibility of weather). If the object is large, the color of the object is bright (highly
reflective), the surface is smooth and shiny, and the laser beam is vertical with the surface of the ob-
ject, the maximum range is increased. On the reverse, the maximum range is decreased. Measurement
precision may be influenced by grass, leaves, twigs etc. covering the object.
