Important:
Please note: All EZ Flush Kits are tested individually for quality control purposes, so it is not unusual for water
to remain in your EZ Flush Kit after testing. Be sure to remove the sticker found inside of the bottom of the
EZ-Flush Kit case before use. This is placed inside to prevent the pump diaphragm from drying out.
Eccotemp EZ-Flush System Descaler Kit has been designed to work in conjunction with isolation valves that
provide 1.9" hot and cold service connections. If these valves have not been installed on your heater then the
heater must be disconnected from the plumbing and drained, and the Eccotemp EZ-Flush System Descaler Kit
must be connected directly to the cold and hot water connections. Eccotemp EZ-Flush System Descaler Kit is
NSF approved and safe to dispose of in drains.*
Descaling Instructions:
1.
Turn off your equipment by unplugging it or
by your breaker.
2.
Verify you have a service valve kit installed.
3.
On your service valve kit, close your incoming
water to your tankless water heater. This is
usually marked blue meaning incoming cold
water.
4.
On your installed temperature and pressure
valve slowly release the pressure and water,
draining the tankless water heater. Once
drained and pressure is released, turn off your
outgoing water on your service valve kit. This
is usually marked red meaning outgoing hot
water.
5.
Unscrew the caps of your service valve kit to
connect the EZ-Flush hoses to your service
valve kit. Connect the bottom hose connection
on the kit to the BLUE inlet on the service valve
and the top hose connection on the kit to the
RED outlet of the service valve.
6.
Add the cleaning solution and a gallon or less
of water into the EZ-Flush Kit, plug it in and
turn it on.
Be sure to remove the sticker found inside

Storage:
Please note: Flushing your EZ-Flush before storage is important to prevent corrosion of internal components
of the EZ-Flush.
1.
First, dump the remaining water and solution mix from the EZ Flush Kit and
of fresh water.
2.
Turn the EZ kit on for 10-15 seconds to allow the fresh, clean water to pump through the kit and out onto the
ground or into a nearby sink. This washes out any remaining solution in the internal pump. *Do not allow the
kit to run dry.
3.
After 10-15 seconds of fresh water owing through the kit, turn it off, make sure all of the connections and
hoses on the kit are dry.
4.
Place each red cap back on each connection on the outside of the case to avoid drying out the internal pump.
Store the kit in a dry, safe place for future use.
