F3
If it is necessary to cut at a certain distance from
the hedge (flowerbed): set the cutting attachment at
the appropriate angle.
When trimming the sides of the hedge, begin at
the bottom and cut upwards, tapering the hedge
inward at the top. In this way, the shape will expose
more of the hedge, resulting in a more uniformed
growth.
Cutting overhead (See Fig. F4)
A
F4
Hold the hedge trimmer vertically and swing it in an
arc for maximum Working distance.
WARNING: Working at heights above shoulder level
can be tiring. To reduce the risk of injury due to
fatigue, avoiding placing the rear hand on a control
handle higher than shoulder height. Adjust the
blade angle to the most comfortable angle, keeping
the machine at a lower, less fatiguing position while
ensuring sufficient reach. Take regular breaks.
Top cutting (See Fig. F5)
Use a wide sweeping motion. A slight downward tilt
of the cutting blades in the direction of motion gives
the best cutting results.
