Working hours check:
The front panel of the device shows a hour‐counter (see Fig. 12) recording
the total of working hours and, consequently, the amount of purified water.
This value can be used to assess the residual performance of the machine
filters.
Change of the ClO2 (chlorine dioxide) solution:
The stability of the chlorine dioxide solution sterilizing water produced by
the Machine lasts about one month. Biox is equipped with a monthly timer
displaying the remaining time by the progressive turning off of six red LEDs
on the upper part of the control panel (see Fig. 13). When the validity time is
over the red LED "ClO2 exhausted" illuminates, while an acoustic signal is
sent out and the injection of chlorine dioxide into water stops. The
exhausted solution shall be changed with a new one.
Instructions for the preparation of the solution are given in the package
containing the necessary components (Biox). It is recommended to wear
protective gloves during the handling of the components and the
operations of unloading and filling of the bottle containing the chlorine
dioxide solution .
The remaining exhausted solution shall be disposed of as indicated in table
4.8.1 .
Once the solution is changed the monthly timer has to be reset .
In order to do so, with Biox ON, hold down the button "Confirmation" until
the six LEDs indicating the remaining time are steadily illuminated.
