INSTALLATION
– Always place the appliance on a stable, horizontal sur-
face. This surface should neither be hot nor near a heat
source. The surface must be dry. Keep the appliance and
cord out of the reach of children.
– Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label of the
appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage. (Use a
residual current device (RCD) – please contact a qualified
electrician for advice.) The wall outlet must be easily acces-
sible while the appliance is in use in case of emergency.
– If the plug provided with the appliance is incompatible with
the wall outlet, have it changed by a qualified electrician.
For US and Canada Customers only: This appliance has
a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in appo-
larized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

BEFORE USING THE BLENDER

HOW TO USE YOUR BLENDER
– You can store the excess power cord in the cord retainer
(9) on the bottom of the motor base.
– Place the blender jar (3) onto the motor base (4). It must
stand sturdily on the motor base.
– Insert the main plug into an grounded electrical outlet.
