Tuner
Presetting radio stations
You can preset up to 20 FM stations and 10 AM
stations. You can then tune in any of those
stations simply by selecting the corresponding
preset number.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select
"FM" or "AM".

Press and hold TUNING +/– 2 seconds
to start tuning until you find the desired
radio station.
"SEARCH + or –" appears on the front
panel until a radio station with sufficient
signal strength is found.

Press PROGRAM.
"P 01" flashes on the front panel.

Press PRESET +/– to select a preset
number that you want to store the
current radio station.

Tips
• Press
or TUNING +/– to stop auto-tuning in step

• You can press TUNING +/– in step 2 to manual
search radio frequency by one step. The current
frequency will appear on the front panel (Manual
Tuning).
• To reduce noise when listening to AM programs,
press AUDIO repeatedly.
Listening to the radio
Preset radio stations in the tuner's memory first
(see "Presetting radio stations"(page 21)).
Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select
"FM".
Press PRESET +/– or SHIFT + number
buttons to select a preset number.
"P 01" appears on the front panel.
To cut the sound
Press MUTING.
Press MUTING again or VOLUME + to restore
sound.
To listen to an FM stereo program
without stereo effect
When an FM stereo program has static noise,
press AUDIO repeatedly until "MONO"
appears on the front panel. There will be no
stereo effect, but the reception will improve.
Tip
• To improve broadcast reception, adjust the supplied
antennas, or connect a commercially available
external antenna.
