ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make sure the Immersion Blender motor base/handle is unplugged from the
electric outlet.
2. Align the tube assembly at the end of the motor base/handle to the power pack
detachable Shaft. Following the arrows on the detachable stick, twist 1/4 turn
until the Immersion Blender locks securely into place.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION! Keep the Commercial Immersion Blender out of reach of children.
1. Plug the assembled Immersion Blender into a 120V AC electrical outlet at a
well-ventilated area, please make sure your fingers stay away from the HI and VR
buttons.
2. The 10-inch Chef-Built Commercial Immersion Blender has 2 SPEED buttons: HI
and VR (VARIABLE SPEED).
3. VARIABLE SPEED is controlled by the speed control dial on top of the motor
base/handle. Turn the variable control dial clockwise to increase SPEED; counter-
clockwise to decrease.
4. The Immersion Blender will operate as long as either SPEED button is pressed.
Blending will cease as the button is released.
IMPORTANT: If a piece of food becomes lodged in the protective guard
surrounding the blade, follow the safety instructions below:
• Release the SPEED button and unplug the Immersion Blender from the
electric outlet.
• Twist the motor base/handle 1/4 turn to detach the stick.
• Use a spatula to carefully remove any food lodged between the blade guard
and the blade.
WARNING! BLADES ARE SHARP! Handle carefully. DO NOT PLACE YOUR
FINGERS NEAR THE BLADES. Use extreme care when cleaning or handling.
Failure to do so can result in personal injury.
5. After the lodged food has been removed, assemble the motor base/handle to
the detachable stick. Plug the Immersion Blender into the electrical outlet and
continue blending.
6. Unplug the Immersion Blender after each use.
7. For best results, always submerge the blade guard to the bottom of the
blending container.
8. To prevent splattering, release the SPEED button before lifting the Immersion
Blender out of the blending container.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any
servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualified
appliance repair technician.
Double Insulation – When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
