Instruction manual VOSS.sonic 2800
The repeller emits ultrasonic sounds that are inaudible or barely audible to humans. According to the current research,
ultrasound does not cause any damage if the maximum level is below 140 dB and the average level, based on 8 h/day, is below
110 dB. Our devices emit ultrasonic sound with the noise levels ranging between 80 and 120 dB. Continuous operation of the
units is not possible.
Headache, pressure, tinnitus
Do not place the device inside living rooms unless your device is intended for this purpose. Although the devices are only
triggered by movement, continuous movement within the operating range of the device can affect hearing. Under certain
conditions this can cause headaches, a feeling of pressure in the head or tinnitus. If you experience the above symptoms,
switch off the device and consult your doctor immediately. If you stay in the garden for extended periods of time, switch off
the repeller. Never hold the repeller directly at the ear of a living being.
Epilepsy
If your device has a flash setting, please note that the different stroboscopic light settings could cause epileptic seizures in
some persons.
Effects of the repeller on your pets
Please note that the ultrasonic sound of the device is also perceived by your pets. Make sure that the repellers are switched off
if your pet is inside the operational zone. Sounds in this frequency range can be very annoying to pets. Fear and warning cries
of animals also occur in the ultrasonic range and therefore have a scaring effect.
Children and teenagers
Hearing in toddlers, children and teenagers is generally much more acute than in adults. Please note that if toddlers/children/
adolescents are within the operational area of the device, it is essential to switch the device off. When storing the inactive
device, make sure that it is kept out of the reach of children.
Use by special groups of people
Use of the device is not intended for children and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experien-
ce and knowledge. There should always be a supervisor on site.
Danger of explosion
Do not open the device during operation, if it is powered by a rechargeable battery. Do not short-circuit, disassemble or throw
the device and battery into a fire. In such cases there is a risk of explosion.
The devices must be set up in such a way that you comply with the laws applicable in your country for ultrasonic
emission in public spaces. This can be obtained from the local authorities responsible for your area.
