Disconnecting the microP2 Drive from a
Personal Computer
„ Windows XP

Select "Safely Remove Hardware" in the task tray, stop "Panasonic P2 Series
USB Device," and then disconnect the USB cable.
„ Windows 7

If there are any microP2 cards inserted in the microP2 drive, click the up arrow
in the task tray, select "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media", select "Eject
microP2 Drive," and then disconnect the USB cable.
If there are no microP2 cards in the drive, the USB cable can be disconnected
without performing an operation on the computer.
„ Windows 8

If there are any microP2 cards inserted in the unit, click the up arrow in the task
tray in the desktop screen and then select "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject
Media." Next, if "Eject microP2 drive" is displayed, select "Eject microP2 Drive."
If the ejecting of microP2 cards is enabled without "Eject microP2 Drive" being
displayed, eject all of the microP2 cards.
Finally, disconnect the USB cable.
If there are no microP2 cards in the drive, the USB cable can be disconnected
without performing an operation on the computer.
„ Mac OS X

If there are any microP2 cards inserted in the microP2 drive, drag the microP2
card icons to the Trash, make sure that the microP2 card icons have disap-
peared, and then disconnect the USB cable.
If there are no microP2 cards in the drive, the USB cable can be disconnected
without performing an operation on the computer.
NOTE:
• After safely removing hardware in Windows, you can make the computer recog-
nize the microP2 drive again by reconnecting the USB cable.
