INSTALLATION
1 Turn OFF the computer and remove the power cord from the wall outlet. Remove the
cover or front panel from the PC.
2 Remove the blank panel covering an empty 5.25" slot.
3 Install the slide rails on the drive.
(slide rails may be purchased separately from the computer manufacturer)
4 Insert the drive into the slot.
5 Refer to the computer's instruction manual if additional mounting methods are required.
÷ Mounting screws must be no longer than 3/16" or 5 mm. Using longer screws may
damage the drive.
÷ When mounting screws are loose, the vibrations from the spinning disc may cause a
ripping noise. To prevent this noise, tighten the screws.
