1)
Insert the USB PDA Adapter installation CD-ROM into
your CD-ROM drive.
2)
Plug the USB PDA Adapter into any available USB port
on your computer or USB hub.
3)
The "Found New Hardware Wizard" will detect the
adapter as "Belkin Components". Click "Next".
4)
Make sure that "Search for a suitable driver for my
device (Recommended)" is selected. Click "Next".
5)
Select "Specify a location". Click "Next".
6)
Enter the path to your CD-ROM drive, (typically
D:\Win2000). Or if you prefer, you can select the
"Browse" option and manually select the Win2000
folder on the driver CD-ROM. Click "OK".
7)
The "Found New Hardware Wizard" will now install the
driver "u2swdm.inf". Click "Next".
8)
The "Found New Hardware Wizard" now detects the
USB PDA Adapter as "Belkin USB PDA Adapter
Interface Controller". Click "Finish".
9)
Windows will now report "Unknown Device" and start
the "Found New Hardware Wizard". Click "Next".
10)
Make sure that "Search for a suitable driver for my
device (Recommended)" is selected. Click "Next".
11)
Select "Specify a location". Click "Next".
