15. The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer and may cause injuries and is strictly prohibited.
16. Do not use outdoors.
17. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch a
hot surface.
18. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner.
19. To disconnect, remove plug from outlet. Let iron cool completely before
storing.
20. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
21. WARNING: Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or
steam. Use caution when turning the iron upside down as there may still be
hot water in the water tank.
22. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be
used.
23. Do not use this appliance for any purpose other than its intended use. This
appliance is for household use only.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Some parts of the iron have been slightly greased and as a result the iron
might smoke slightly when switched 'ON' for the first time. After a short while
this will cease.
2. Before using for the first time remove all stickers and protective foil from the
soleplate with a soft cloth.
3. Keep the soleplate smooth, do not scratch against metal objects (e.g. rack
of ironing board, buttons, zippers).
4. Pure woollen fabrics (100% wool) may be pressed with the iron set to a
steam position using a dry pressing cloth.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

1. Check to see if ironing instructions are attached to the article to be ironed.
These can be found on a label showing a drawing of an iron. The numbers of
dots indicate the correct temperature.
