Potential faults
POTENTIAL CAUSE
The shaft is blocked
Lack of power supply
The suction valve is partially opened
Air leaking in the suction pipe
The pum pis not primed
Direction of rotation is wrong
Poor suction line installation, with counterslopes
that lead to unwanted air pockets.
The working pressure exceeds the maximum one
causing the safety valve to open.
Suction valve partially closed
Air leaking in the suction pipe
Direction of rotation is wrong
Poor suction line installation, with counterslopes
that lead to unwanted air pockets.
The pumped liquid contains impurities
Damaged sealing faces of the mechanical
sealing or damaged lip sealing of the radial
shaft seal
Suction of foreign objects
Incorrect power supply
Incorrect motor connection
Partial seizure somewhere in the pump
The fluid is too dense or viscous
The pump works beyond its capabilities
Damaged mechanical sealing or damaged
radial shaft seal
Poor ventilation of the unit
SYSTEMATIC FAILURE OF THE MECHANICAL SEAL OR RADIAL SHAFT SEAL
The fluid contains abrasive particles.

SOLUTION
Unblock the shaft with a screwdriver by the
means of the shaft slot
Verify if there is voltage on the line
Clean it up or replace it
Check the suction line including its joints
Prim the pump
Invert its direction of rotation
Check the installation and remove these
counterslopes
Regulate the pressure

counterslopes
Install a filter or replace the mechanical
seal/radial shaft seal
Replace the mechanical sealing or the radial
shaft seal
Clean the internal parts and ensure it remains in
good condition
Verify the voltage
Verify its connections
Clean the internal parts and ensure it remains in
good condition
Heat the liquid up
Regulate the working pressure
Replace the mechanical sealing or the radial
shaft seal
Relocate the pump or ensure a correct
ventilation
Avoid this particles. Install a filter.
