6.2 Port mapping
Port mapping is outside the network IP address of the host map a port to a machine in the
network and provide the corresponding service. When a user accesses the IP port,
automatically maps the request to the server on the internal LAN machines.
Use port mapping feature can be more than one network machine IP address port mapping to
network different ports on different machines. Port mapping feature you can also complete
some specific agent functionality, such as agent POP, SMTP, TELNET agreement. Can
theoretically provide more than 60,000 ports mapped.
For example:To map a WEB server with IP address 192.168.111.10, just 192.168.111.10 and
the IP address of the server TCP port 80 to provide Web services to go into the router's port
mapping table. Implement port mapping includes two methods: UPnP feature to automatically
map and manually modify the router port mappings table.
6.2.1 UPnP function
In order to achieve through the public network access installed on the LAN-internal DVR
devices, we need to configure the router, the NAT implementation DVR through. UPnP
function is possible by embedded DVR with built-in automatic NAT Upnp Protocol through,
without having to configure the router.
Note: the router support needed to implement Upnp functionality and open Upnp functionality.
The first step:
The router plugged into the network, enter the menu of the router control, configuration, and
then enter the port forwarding, UPnP feature turned on. Router functions from different
manufacturers vary, please read before configuring the router's manual.
The second step:
Connect the DVR to a router, configuring automatic IP or static IP. Complete the IP
configuration, when you enter the "Advanced Configuration" in the "network transmission
capacity, ports, multicast, and so" options open "UPnP port mapping".
DVR default access ports including HTTP port 80 and TCP port 8,000, if the port is already
occupied by other devices in the LAN, then "network transmission capacity, ports, multicast,"
modify the default port on the DVR to ports that are not occupied.
The third step:
Enter the router administration interface, inspection in port forwarding is automatically adding
DVR port mapping rules. If so, the Upnp function is configured successfully.
The fourth step:
enter the public IP address in the IE browser, and after the IP port number Plus DVR you want
to access, such as 155.157.12.227:81. Accessed through the client software, if used outside
the network TCP ports that are configured
Note: If more than one DVR set UPnP function is done by each setting DVR port to a different
port number to avoid conflict, or to priority ports DVR set for first choice
