ADJUSTING CPI AND POLLING RATE
The CPI button enables you to adjust your mouse sensitivi-
ty on the fly. By pressing the button, you can easily switch
between 400 (red), 800 (green), 1600 (blue), 3200 (violet) and
4000 (turquoise) CPI. The higher the CPI setting, the farther
the cursor on your screen will move when you move the
mouse.
The Polling rate switch allows you to adjust the response
time of your mouse. A higher Polling rate means that your
mouse will report its position to the computer more often.
1000 Hz Polling rate= position updated 1000 times every se-
cond. On the M1, you can switch between 125, 500 and 1000
Hz. A high value will improve precision, but also use more
CPU resources.
SURFACE MODES (CLOTH OR PLASTIC MOUSEPAD)
By switching surface mode on the mouse, you can easily optimize the sensor for soft (cloth) or
hard (plastic) mousepads. The right surface mode will minimize the mouse's lift-off distance to
approximately 1.5 mm.
Surface mode 1 (standard) = suitable for most cloth mousepads.
Surface mode 2 = suitable for most plastic mousepads.
To switch surface mode, press and hold down the left and right mouse buttons and the scroll
wheel for 5 seconds. The mouse will then blink once when it's in surface mode 1, and twice when
it's in surface mode 2.
