Text LCD (onsome models)
The Text LCD gives cycle and option descriptions, estimated cycle times, tips, verifying
i ....................................................................................................... 1 control Iockand delay status, and status ofcycle. It also informsyou ifthe cycle has been
interrupted or errors occur on the dishwasher.
Display Scroll: There is a scroll symbol on the side of the screen as seen in the figure.
Each time you press scroll, it will go to the next two lines of text. At the end of the text it
will go back to the top. At any time you can press Cancel to clear the message.
Hints and Tips: When a cycle is complete, a helpful hint may appear about the operation
of the dishwasher. The hint could aid in getting the best performance out of your
dishwasher. Other tips are fun facts to know. The helpful hint will appear for only
3 seconds; press display scroll to read the rest of the hint. It can be cleared by pressing
Cancel or shutting the door.
Cycle interrupt: The cycle can potentially be interruptedfrom the door being opened or a
powe routage. When thisoccurs, a tonewill sound and you should open the door in order
to view the display. Follow the insights to get your cycle back on track. When ready,
press Start to resume cycle.
Service required: This will be activated when an issue occurs that requires servicing and

will include an error code. The d isplaywill advise you to dial 1-800-4-MY-H OM E. When
this occurs, the dishwasher is inoperable and the message cannot be cleared until a
service person fixes the issue.
Changing Language: English is the default language, but the language can be changed
by pressing the following buttons in this order: 1 Hr Wash - Normal - 1 Hr Wash -
Normal. The LCDwilltoggle to French, then Spanish, and backto English each time the
sequence is completed.
Indicators and CountdownBar (on some models)
The ind icators will inform you ifyou are able to add a dish to the cycle after it started. It
will also inform you if the dishwasher iswashing, rinsing, drying, complete, and/or
sanitized. Theywill showwhetherthe control is locked and/orthe delay option is selected.
A series of bars will count down the duration of the cycle remaining from left to right. Each
barequals approximately 24 minutes of cycle length.
SelectingCyclesand Options
1. Torepeat the same cycle/options used on previous cycle, press START/RESU ME once to show which selections you used. To
change cycle, select desired cycle.
2. Selectthe desired options, then press START/RESUMEtostartthe cycle. Notall options are availablefor everycycle. If an
invalid option is selected for a given cycle, the lights will flash.
TurningOFF/ON the Sound
Press and hold HIGH TEM P for 3 seconds to toggle sound On and Off. The sound will not deactivate for cycle interruption or
service required messages. A screen on the Text LCD willconfirm when the sound has been turned Offor On.
t. Open the door slightlyto stop the cycle. Wait for the spraying action to stop before completely opening the door.
2. Press and hold the Cancel/Drain button until the Cancel/Drain lightturns on.
3. Close the door. The dishwasher starts a drain cycle if water remains in bottom of dishwasher. Let the dishwasher drain completely.
The Cancel/Drain light turns offafter2 minutes.
