Section Five - Other Functions
Utilities
The Utility section contains various menus which affect global functions of the
J-Station. These menus include: Assign Mode, Output Mode, Dry Track Enable,
Digital Output Level, Global Cabinet Emulator, MIDI Loop Back, MIDI Channel,
MIDI Dump, and Factory Reset. To access the Utility functions, press the Shift
button.The Shift button will light. Press the Tuner/Utility button and the word
Util will scroll across the display indicating that you are in Utility mode. The
Display will then alternate between showing the currently selected Utility menu,
and the current status or value for that menu. Once the Utilities have been
accessed, pressing the Effect Type button (<) will select the previous Utility
menu, and pressing the Tap-It button (>) will move forward through the Utility
menu selections. Rotating the Data knob will change the value or status of the
selected Utility. Pressing the Tuner/Utility button will exit the Utility menu and
return the J-Station to the previous mode.
Assign Menu
The Assign Menu allows you to select which J-Station Parameter you would like
to assign to the Expression Pedal on the J8 Foot Controller. In addition to
selecting a Parameter to be controlled, you can also set minimum and maximum
values the Parameter will reach as you rock the Expression Pedal back and forth.
The procedure for selecting Assign mode, and making an assignment is as
follows:
1. Press the Shift button.The button will light
2. Press the Tuner/Utility button.This button will also light.
3. Press the Effect Type (<) button until as (abbreviation for Assign) shows in
the display.The Display will then flash between as and the currently assigned
Parameter number.
4. Using the Parameter list below, rotate the Data knob to select the Parameter
you wish to assign.

01 = Master Level
02 = Volume Pedal
03 = Gain
04 = Treble
05 = Mid
06 = Bass
07 = Amp Level
5. Press the Tap-It (>) button once and the Display will alternate between
showing pf (an abbreviation for Pedal Forward) and the currently assigned
value the Parameter will reach when the expression Pedal is in the forward
(toe down) position. Rotate the Data knob to select the desired value.
6. Press the Tap-It (>) button again and the Display will alternate between
showing pb (an abbreviation for Pedal Back) and the currently assigned value
the Parameter will reach when the expression Pedal is in the back (toe up)
position. Rotate the Data knob to select the desired value.
7. Press the Tuner/Utility button again to exit.

Sección cinco - Otras funciones
Utilidades
La sección de utilidades consta de varios menús que afectan a las funciones globales
de la J-Station. Estos menús son los siguientes: modo de asignación, modo de salida,
activación de pista seca, nivel de salida digital, simulador de caja global, retorno de
bucle MIDI, canal MIDI, volcado MIDI y reinicialización a los valores de fábrica. Para
acceder a las funciones de la sección de utilidades, pulse el botón Shift. Se iluminará
ese botón. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility y comenzará a pasar por la pantalla la
palabra Util para indicarle que está en el modo de utilidades. En pantalla irán
apareciendo alternativamente el menú de utilidades que haya elegido entonces y el
estado o valor activo para ese menú. Una vez que haya accedido a la sección de
utilidades, si pulsa el botón Effect Type (<) seleccionará el menú de utilidades
anterior, y si pulsa el botón Tap-It (>) irá avanzando a través de los menús de
utilidades. Gire el mando Data para modificar el valor o el estado de la utilidad
elegida. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility para salir del menú de utilidades y hacer que
la J-Station regrese al modo anterior.
Menú de asignación
El menú de asignación le permite elegir qué parámetro de la J-Staion quiere asignar
al pedal de expresión de la pedalera J8. Además de seleccionar un parámetro para
ser controlado, también puede ajustar los valores mínimo y máximo que quiere que
alcance el parámetro al desplazar hacia delante o hacia atrás el pedal de expresión.
El procedimiento para elegir el modo de asignación y para hacer una asignación es
el siguiente:
1. Pulse el botón Shift. Se encenderá este botón.
2. Pulse el botónTuner/Utility.También se iluminará este botón.
3. Pulse el botón Effect Type (<) hasta que aparezca en pantalla la palabra as
(abreviatura de asignación). En pantalla irán parpadeando alternativamente los
caracteres as y el número de parámetro activo asignado.
4. Utilizando la lista de parámetros que figura abajo, gire el mando Data para elegir el
parámetro que quiera asignar.

02 = Pedal de volumen
03 = Ganancia
04 = Agudos
05 = Medios
06 = Graves
07 = Nivel del amplificador
5. Pulse una vez el botón Tap-It (>) y en pantalla aparecerán alternativamente
los caracteres pf (abreviatura de pedal de expresión) y el valor activo como
tope máximo a alcanzar por el parámetro cuando el pedal de expresión esté
en la posición de pulsado. Gire el mando Data para elegir el valor deseado.
6. Pulse una vez más el botón Tap-It (>) y la pantallla mostrará de modo
alternativo los caracteres pb (abreviatura de pedal atrás) y el valor asignado
en ese momento que alcanzará el parámetro cuando el pedal de expresión
esté en la posición de atrás (puntera arriba). Gire el mando Data para elegir
el valor el valor que desee.
7. Pulse de nuevo el botón Tuner/Utility para salir.

11 = Parámetro 3 del efecto
12 = Nivel de retado
13 = Realimentación del retardo
14 = Nivel de reverberación
