With the water faucet turned completely off, attach a
garden hose (not provided) securely to the garden hose
connector and hand tighten.
With the misting tube mounted in your desired location,
away from electrical devices and switches, turn the hose
faucet completely on and allow the system to pressurize.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause
product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which could result in serious personal
injury.
WARNING:
With the battery pack removed from the misting kit,
always clean and thoroughly dry out all parts of the
misting kit, intake tube, and buckets when not in use
to prevent the possible formation of bacteria or mold.
Spraying mist that contains bacteria or mold can result
in serious personal injury or illness.
OPERATION
After adequate pressure is reached, water should mist
from the nozzles to the surface below. If misting does not
occur within 10 seconds, turn the hose faucet completely
off and refer to the Troubleshooting later in this manual.
MAINTENANCE
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
Irregular mist patterns or leakage may be the result of a
clogged or dirty nozzle.
Make sure the pump switch is in the OFF ( O ) position.
Remove the battery pack.
Remove the brass nozzles from the misting tube.
Soak nozzles in nozzle cleaner (not included) or warm
soapy water to loosen foreign materials clogging or
restricting the nozzle.
Using a garden hose, flush debris out of nozzle by back
flushing (running the water through the nozzle backwards
or from the outside to the inside).
Reconnect the nozzle to the misting tube.
WARNING:
Ensure all components of misting system are properly
assembled after maintenance has been performed and
that the system does not leak water. Improper hose
connections and/or leaks can result in a slippery surface
and create a slip and fall hazard.
FILTER MAINTENANCE
See Figure 10, page 11.
Periodically check the filter at the end of the intake tube for
debris and to make sure it is in good condition. Remove the
plastic filter cover and rinse or replace the filter, then snap
the cover back together.
