Description:
The charger discharges/charges 1 to 4 rechargeable NiCd-/NiMH-bat-
teries of the types:
Micro
AAA
R03
Mignon
AA
R 6
Baby
C
R14
Mono
D
R20
and charges one
9 V E-Bloc
9 V
6 F 22
Attention!
You can charge only rechargeable batteries! Not dry batteries - danger of
explosion! NiCd- and NiMH-batteries are marked as such and have the
inscription "wiederaufladbar" or "rechargeable".
Application:
The charger has 5 separate charging circuits which can either be charged
individually or together with several batteries at the same time. 4 circuits
are designed for round cells and one circuit for the 9 V block.
Discharging / Charging of Round Cells:
To charge insert the Round Cells, firstly ensure that the cell is the correct
way round as shown in base of the battery compartment. Now ensure
that you place the battery right down in the battery compartment at the
lowest level possible. This enables the batteries to make the right con-
nection to the appropriate positive contact and the charger will therefore
ensure the correct charging current for that type of cell. The sliding nega-
tive contact then holds the battery in place. After the batteries have been
inserted, the unit has to be connected to a mains supply via a mains plug.
If discharge is required press the button. The red LED will indicate com-
mencement of the discharge process. The EB 202 plus will automatical-
ly change to charge mode, this will be indicated by the green LED. If
charging only is required do not press the button. At the end of the char-
ging process the charger will change to trickle charge and the green LED
will go out.
For higher capacity batteries it may be necessary to repeat the charge
mode in order to fill the battery (see table of charge times). To do this dis-
connect the charger from the mains supply and reconnect after
approximately 30 seconds, this will reset the timer changing from trickle
to full charge.
Charging the 9 V Block:
The 9 V Block is seated in its own charging necess by a slight pressure
(please refer to drawing on housing). Attention: Please see charging time
below, no automatic timer.

2 x 2 h means:
After green LED extinguishes separate charger from mains, reconnect
after 30 seconds and charge a second time until LED extinguishes.
Attention! Make sure that charging time is always right. If at the same
time, two rechargeable batteries are charged with 2 and 6 hours timer
charging is interrupted automatically and continues after taking out the
corresponding batteries until 6 hours charging is finished. Then there is
automatic switching to trickle charge.
Instruction for use:
It is essential to charge NiCd-/NiMH-batteries before using them for the
first time or after longer storage. In some cases it may be necessary to
carry out the discharging /charging process twice in order to return the
batteries to full capacity.
The contact surface of the batteries and of the charger must always be
kept clean.
Do not use the lead to disconnect the plug from the mains.
Check the lead from time to time and protect it against oil, grease and
